What is F-Droid?

F-Droid is an open-source app store for Android that focuses on free software and privacy. Unlike the Play Store, F-Droid allows anyone to host their own repository of apps. This page will guide you through adding this custom repository to your F-Droid client so you can install apps directly.

Before You Start

Install the F-Droid App

If you don't have F-Droid yet, download it from f-droid.org. It's a free, open-source app store for Android. You'll need to allow "Install from unknown sources" in your Android settings for F-Droid.

Tip: On most Android devices, go to Settings → Security → Unknown sources or you'll be prompted when you first try to install F-Droid.

3

Add a New Repository

Tap the + button (top-right corner) to add a new repository. In the URL field, paste:

https://abusneimeh.com
4

Accept the Repository Fingerprint

F-Droid will show you the repository fingerprint for verification. This confirms you're connecting to the correct, trusted repo. Tap OK or Accept to add it.

Note: You may see "Unverified" next to the repo name initially. This is normal — it just means F-Droid is still indexing the repository. It will resolve after the first sync.
5

Refresh and Browse Apps

F-Droid will now sync the repository index. Once finished, go back to the main screen and search for apps or browse the Latest tab. You can also check the Apps page on this site to see all available apps.

🔎
Search → AutoDoktor → Install
6

Install Your App

Tap the app you want, then press Install. Android may ask you to confirm the installation from this source. Once installed, the app is ready to use!

Updates: F-Droid will automatically check this repo for updates. When a new version is published, you'll see it in the Updates tab.
1

Scan the QR Code

Open the F-Droid app, then use the built-in QR scanner or your phone's camera app to scan the QR code at the top of this page. F-Droid will automatically detect the repo URL.

2

Or Tap This Link on Your Phone

If you're viewing this on your Android device, simply tap the button below. Your phone should offer to open it with F-Droid:

Note: If the link doesn't open F-Droid automatically, copy the repo URL manually using Method 1 above.
3

Confirm and Sync

Accept the repository fingerprint when prompted and wait for the sync to complete. Then browse and install apps as usual.

Troubleshooting

I can't find the "Repositories" option

In newer F-Droid versions, go to Settings (gear icon) and look for Repositories or Manage repos. In older versions, it may be under Manage installed apps → Repositories.

The repo shows as "Unverified"

This is normal for custom repos. It means F-Droid hasn't fully indexed it yet. Wait for the sync to complete, or pull down to refresh.

The app won't install

Make sure "Install from unknown sources" is enabled for F-Droid in your Android settings. On Android 8+, go to Settings → Apps → F-Droid → Install unknown apps → Allow.

I get a "repository not found" error

Double-check the URL is exactly https://abusneimeh.com with no trailing spaces. Also ensure your device has internet access.
